Doc Daneeka
On a Tuesday in August

Yet another formidable player emerges from the depths of the DSF with “the right stuff” and an ever-growing list of supporters. Marcus Nasty, L-Vis, Bok Bok, Brackles, Footloose, Jackmaster and TRG to name a few.
While some of Doc Daneeka’s dubs echo the soulful house/breaks hybrid tracks of Baltimore’s Karizma, others relish in more aggressive, dark, and percussive paths akin to Hard House Banton or Lil Silva. Whatever form they take his tunes never fail to impress.
One might expect to trip over some Doc D rareities while wandering through UK Funky dot com, that is, if they were available (their standards are apparently stricter than we had all assumed). With luck, perhaps someone can offer up a truly appropriate dwelling place. Until then…

I CAN SEE REMIX « Get Weird Turn Pro
[...] UK producer Doc Daneeka is an emerging talent on the UK Funky scene and he’s upped the tempo and injected a nice vibe into the Jazzanova track from last year entitled ‘I Can See’ that features the soulful vocals of London singer Ben Westbeech.
