Praise
On a Tuesday in August

A considerable amount of time and money was spent this weekend tracking down some new Funky. Quite soon into the hunt it became quite clear that this is a genre that’s in the midst of hitting it’s creative stride in style.
Take D-Malice’s new one Praise. A departure from the obligatory bongos and congas, D opts for some classic drum machines and a p-funk style bassline which could quite easily be mistaken for works of Dam-Funk.
If you’re not on this genre by now you’re really missing out. Like most creative peaks, it wont last forever. Get on it now.

Wow!!! D-Malice is currently on fire with this new one. It reminds me of the Detroit & Chicago house of early 90’s like Planet E records. The more underground UK funky is what music needed, a more eclectic music loving direction, instead of pop hits. D-Malice is the El-B or Larry Heard of UK Funky!!! Gabryelle was a smashin’ tune also!!!!!
