Always Fridays

On a Wednesday in March

Getting promo mail from events is always a funny thing. I never quite know what to do with them and unless I know the promoters personally, they often get overlooked (especially if they’re based in other countries).

However, being virtually lock-step with what we’re feeling tends to help tremendously and one night that’s certainly stood out and grabbed our attention is Almost Fridays in London.

This upcoming Friday, Tartelet Records takes over with Fredski and Tomboy alongside dOP (one of our favorites at the moment).

Fredski’s recently recorded Get Physical mix gets things popping off early. Londoners, don’t sleep.

Fredski - Get Physical Mix

1. The Emotional Don - ??? - White
2. Love Never Sleep - Seth Troxler
3. Dazed & Loging - Andreas Jornvil
4. No News Good News - Einzelkind
5. Three Rows - Reboot
6. Who Is He - ???
7. March On Swan LAke - Fredski * Tomas Barfod
8. Saruka - Ahmet sismann
9. Bubububadub - MHM1
10. Buzzin JAzz - ???
11. Sexy Dancer - Lee Curtis
12. Albertino - Guido Schnider
13. ??? - ???

I think Track 6 is: Bill Withers - “Who Is He And What Is He To You”… stretched/speeded up, with the pitch kept the same, hence the broken up sound…call me a trainspotter..lol
My fav track on this mix…

So there is a move away in the bloggosphere from cut up mixed wonk/fidgit towards this more transitional mixed tribal stuff? Nice if the cut up style could continue with this tribal stuff..
