MiKiX The Cat, set to drop a slew of incredibly original productions in the coming months, his a name worth paying attention to.

By creating mixtapes for his breakdance crew early on,  the 21 year old from Paris has musical influences rooted deep in old school hiphop and funk.

You wouldn’t think it after hearing his current productions though. Mikix was drawn to 4X4 type beats after playing a House event in the late 90’s. Although inspired by these uptempo sounds, his interpreted works are gritty, distorted and unpredictable (likely due to too much synth knob twiddling).

MiKiX The Cat’s fidgety hands have been hard at work as his next two releases’s (Elle A Remix EP on Eclectic and the Freeze EP on Trouble & Bass) are due out by summer’s end.
