During my time in London last month I had the great pleasure of partying at the famed FWD night at Plastic People. The tubes were a buz with talk of steps toward some sort of Techno / Dubstep hybrid sound a few months ago. Recently record shops have been seeing the result of all that talk with a seemingly never ending stream of mnml 4X4 Dubstep / Techno hybrids.
The sound may be a bit too minimal when hearing it for the first time. It should be noted that people felt the same about Dubstep in general years back and look how it’s morphed into it’s tearout facemelt vibe since then.
FWD was a bubblin’ with the new sound of Dubstep and Techno’s love child last month.. if it hasn’t hit you yet… be sure it will soon enough.
