Picked up the debut Loco Dice LP the other day and oh boy is it proper. 7 Dunham Place is something of an Ode-to-New York and reminds me of Burial’s Untrue LP as it’s incredibly well rounded and “street” sounding.
Much like Untrue, the 7 Dunham is heavy with sound scape sampling (most obviously noticed in the tune M Train to Brooklyn) and while a fair bit of the player is safe for dinner listening, a few cuts are incredibly effective dancefloor ass shakers.
I can’t stress enough how excellent this album is. Do it justice and grab it on CD or high bit rate files here.
