Still recovering from a bit of an extreme Saturday night. I was meaning to post up some of these on Sunday but err.. never got around to it. Seams a more fitting now anyways as they’re a tad different than the music we usually have up. 3 tunes I’ve been feeling lately. Some new [...]

Twice in one month we’re treated to new music from Mowgli. This time our boy has go at remixing Mr. Elastic (The Bulgarian)’s Justice.
You’ll find this similar to Mowgli’s last posting here. A stripped down wobbly slow burn loaded with some junk in the trunk.
Mowgli’s remix is available on Sokolov Sounds at all fine digi-shops [...]
I’m going thru a lot of classics lately, and some of the serious dirt finds it’s way here. As selfish as I am with DJing, sometimes you just have to share.
This came out on Locked On in 2000. See any future in the bass lines? It’s like staring at yrself in the mirror an’ [...]
Those who caught The Count and Sinden’s essential mix will likely remember Detboi’s spastic refix of Beeper.
As far as remixes go, Detboi’s always stuck out as one of the better ones and I was a tad disappointed to see it not included on the official release.
To those who feel the same, Detboi’s remix of The [...]

Our Trouble and Bass friends dropped their latest release this morning. Boy 8-Bit Style! get it while it’s hot!
Boy 8-Bit’s original mix of Fogbank is something of an ode to jungle breakbeat laced with signature 8-bit melodies and square bass.
I’ve been waiting for the Jack Beats rmx for time and am happy as a silly [...]
Over the weekend, The good folks at Jack Union (best label name ever) kindly sorted us out with an advance for their upcoming fifth release.
Nic Sarno makes his Jack Union appearance on JU005 with some remix help from label bosses Hijack. Nic’s A Side Elephant is already available for purchase at juno and but we’ll [...]
Claude VonStroke and Christian Martin’s long awaited Groundhog Day made it’s digital release appearance on Dirtybird yesterday. Rusko of Dub Police fame comes correct with a face melting remix of the otherwise mellow tune on the flip.
Complete with monster basslines, 4×4 riddim and squealing leads, this is high energy Dubstep at it’s finest. Watch [...]

Curb Crawlers blog is 1 year old this week.
So I started this blog 12 months ago as a page to mainly promote parties we throw and add a few links to some music I’m feeling. To be honest, the increasing attention this page has received over the last year is a bit shocking. I [...]

I absolutely love Deadbeat. His music walks this really interesting line between Minimal Techno / Dubstep /Garage and although this hybrid sound is pretty popular within Dubstep and Techno circles recently, there’s no denying that Deadbeat was way ahead of the curb here.
Deadbeat’s most recent offering is available now on Montreal native label Cynosure. Entitled [...]
Two of our favorite blogs released some branded mixes during the past 7 days. Ironically enough, we’ll be putting out our Curb Crawlers unofficial 1 year anniversary mix later this week also. It seams like something may be in the water this March!
Both of these mixes are absolutely tearout and come highly recommended from us. [...]

Crux Records gears up for their 5th release this week. Andy George and JakZ join the likes of The Bulgarian and Pette Vaydex remixing Bryan Cox’s Let’s Go To Work.
Plump full of booming subs and chopped up vocals, Crux 005 is sure to shake butts.
Like the vocal used? Crux has included the acapella in this [...]
Like clockwork, Mowgli dropped another rmx on us this morning and I couldn’t be happier.
Mowgli has done a fantastic job transforming Bass Kleph’s Saturday night big club anthem Helium into a proper wobble centric stepper.
While Mowgli keeps the bass and jack in check, I can definitely see this being rinsed by the Minimal crowd as [...]

Good friend and Curb Crawlers contributer Secret Agent Gel’s net label has been attracting a whole heap of attention on Juno Download’s 2Step / Bassline charts recently.
Just this week Bass Tourist imprint saw it’s second release for 2008, this time courtesy of Philly native Joe Breaker. Gel gets busy on the remix tip for the [...]
Utensil sub-label Cadang see’s the full release of Christian Martin’s much anticipated Hoes backed with Balance and Ridum tomorrow. Pre-Release copies have been available for purchase at Stompy for a few weeks now so heads might already be hip to this.
Ghettotech vocals, 808 bass drums and gliding midrange here. Make sure to hit up [...]
New bits from A1 Bassline today. A1 is no stranger to this page, in fact I think he’s been written about in something like 1 in 4 posts since November 2007.
Our boy sent us a trailer load of new beats last week. Most have them have done the rounds on the blogs already so get [...]
Nick Catchdubs kindly sent us a heads up about free exclusives on the Fools Gold RCRD LBL page last week. Serious rmx heat here don’t sleep!
Kid Cudi’s Day ‘N’ Nite with Crookers on the remix buttons. Absolutely love the wobbly bline in this one. Make sure to snag it if you haven’t already.
Kid Codi - [...]

In partnership with No Love Lost Records, we’re delighted to exclusively host the most recent installment in the NLLR Mix Tape Project.
Joining the the likes of Ocelot, Tronik Youth, Toxic Avenger, South Central and more, Cape Town’s The Bulgarian serves up this exclusive issue (Mix #25 for those counting) with some jackin’ bass heavy house [...]
Since Scott Cooper’s Hangin’ With Mr Cooper EP on Wearhouse a few months back, Scott’s music has been on heavy rotation here. Borrowing heavily from 2Step Garage and Dance Hall, his beats is nothing short of full fledged party bangers.
Unsure of this claim? pick up some of his already released music and just see the [...]
