Rave From The Grave

syrous.jpg

Thinking granularly, the blog is a direct result of Toronto’s Rave scene during the 90’s. Woo! thanks Extacy!

I’m not sure how much international readers know about Toronto’s 90’s Rave movement. I wont get into it too much other than to say it was totally wicked bad.

Funny how things haven’t changed much in almost 2 decades. This became blindly apparent when I stumbled across some Terry Mullan *mix tapes the other day. These mixes were on walkman repeat for months when I was 14.

Some Old School Jackin’ Acid for your ass..

Enjoy!

Terry Mullan - Straight Jackin - Side A

Terry Mullan - Straight Jackin - Side B

Terry Mullan - New School Fusion 1 - Side B

*Mix Tapes.. Note the side A/B.. cassette baby don’t fuckabout!

really fresh to read about someone who is down with the new shit and still nods to their roots. dose and syrous defined the big room sound for me.

barry weaver one of the baddest of the bad mon is pushing a fresh sound in san diego still one of the most aggressive and creative mixers there is.
