Something on a minimal tip for you. We haven’t posted anything like this for a few weeks and after the constant stream of wobbly Bassline tunes we’ve had going I figure it’s time for a little change.
Caravan Recordings is a new imprint project between Bristol’s Multiverse and Tectonic labels. Both outfits, having long delivered grade-A dubstep, claim that the Caravan collaboration is aimed at pushing deep organic techno music.. not so surprising given Pinch’s (Tectonic) past dubstep/techno crossover success.
First up for Caravan we see the likes of October on the buttons. If you’re a fan of minimal music, do yourself a favor and pick the rest of this EP up. It’s excellent work and October’s original mix of Homosapiens has been on repeat at Curb Crawlers HQ (aka my apartment) for the better part of 2008 (aka 1 week).
October’s follow up EP on Caravan is entitled “Invitation EP” and is due out January 8 2008. Go buy it.
