Like mostly everyone else, I work a day job. It’s a sales role at a Canadian software company and for the most part, the day job is rewarding and pretty in line with parts of my personality.

However, something that’s outright alien are some of the sales “buzz” words heard. I swear I’ve been in meetings were upwards of 10 minutes pass with people saying nothing but bullshit terms like “I’m trying to get to the know”, “I’m just stepping up to bat” or “Does the opportunity have legs?”. One I totally get a kick out of hearing is “It is what it is”… wtf does that even mean??
