On a Sunday in October

Between the ages of 18 and 21 Photek was a fucking demigod in my eyes. I owned pretty much everything he put on wax, treated getting lost is his spooky sound-scapes as a sort of dark holistic meditation and mimicked his stark minimal asthetic (something thats often still with me today).

For the last few years, Mr Parks has lived stateside in California (I heard something about doing sound scores for film??). Chances are that this where the link is made between Photek and LA Riots.

In a time where Rave relics are sometimes looked at as dinosaurs, it’s dope to see a geezer like Rupert Parks getting some rmx love.
