More Skream… sorta
On a Wednesday in September

Downloaded this bangin’ Switch RMX of Skream’s Midnight Request Line from Mad Decent just now.
My plan was to catch some rest, but if you read this blog regularly and can tell how much of a hard-on I have for Dubstep you could probably imagine the freakishly giddy squeals that I made when first hearing this.
Skream - Midnight Request Line (Switch RMX)
Looking forward to this weekend. Rolling with a big posse to the Mod Club to check Switch and Diplo for our friend Care’s birthday. Fun Times!
Bassline
On a Tuesday in September

So I took a while posting this because I couldn’t find a fitting photo on the net to illustrate “bassline”. I decided to go to with this random pulled off my current homepage fuckthiswebsite.com. What does it have to do with Bassline music? absolutely nothing. But it says FUCK clear as day and that’s gotta count for something right?
A few weeks ago, our friend Corey linked us to a few Bassline tunes being sold on Juno. I was aware of Bassline 2Step for a while now but to be honest, I always found the beats to sound a bit cheesy.
This stuff Corey linked me to is fierce though! Grimey bass, jackin’ grooves and a darker edge. After further investigation it looks like this direction is becoming a bit of a trend in Bassline. I’ll post more stuff as I find it. So keep an eye out if you’re init.

Winding down the summer
On a Monday in September

Labour Day. Spent the long weekend in Huntsville for some R&R and boy do I feel well rested.
I was planning on posting some hype UK bassline stuff today but just can’t shake this mellow tip I’m on.
According to iTunes smart playlist, our road-trip’s most played song was a U-Turn’s disco edit of Stevie Wonder’s All I do. A fitting end to a great summer I think.
So as Fall approaches so does the grind. For the most part I hate working in the Summer (this includes djing and promoting events). Now that September is here keep an eye out for local shows from us again. Some super dope stuff planned!
