It gets me sorta pissed when people automatically associate Dubstep with the slow halftime crunk style beat. I guess they cant be blamed, without having your ear to the ground prior to 2006 (dubstep world takeover year) I guess it would be a bit difficult to know the music has it’s roots in a pretty upbeat style.
As 2007 progresses, non-halfstep dubstep seams to be popping up with increasing frequency. I saw this mix on dubstepforum of all “non-halfstep” beats. It’s pretty sick give it a listen.
